How to deal with difficult people
Knowing how to deal with difficult people and learning to understand the different types of difficult people is an important skill that makes life so much easier.
People are people, are people, are people… this is what we think before we start looking at people and realising that we are all different. Life would be so boring if we were all the same; had the same interests, had the same mannerisms and tastes – no differences just all the same. We all need a guide to dealing with difficult people.
Well, with people being different comes the challenge of keeping harmony between people.
So, whether the people you associate with are family, friends, work colleagues, service providers or customers, harmony needs to abide.
However, we all know from experience that “difficult” people are around and can become a big challenge if not handled correctly.
This session will give you some useful tips and techniques on how to handle or deal with difficult people. It will also introduce you to the different types of difficult people you may come across.
Dealing with difficult people starts with YOU – knowing and understanding who you are first and then, with the ideas you’ll get from this session, dealing with difficult people will be a breeze 😊
This session will help you to understand where other people are coming from. Important considerations like, what their culture is, what their environment is like, what’s their way of life, what generation they fit into and what the challenges are. There is so much to consider when dealing with difficult people and having a good understanding of people will ensure that you handle them effectively.
When dealing with difficult people there are basically two outcomes that can be reached;
- A positive way forward
- A negative way forward
Which outcome you’ll have depends on how well you understand yourself, and how well you understand people of all generations. It also depends on how you run with the tips given in this session and how effectively you use the techniques shown.
